The new palace was the royal palace of the Ancient City. It sat on the side of the Ancient Harbor across from the Mastercrafter Workshop. The building was shaped like a large "U", wrapping around a frontal courtyard. The palace was later moved to the "new acropolis" in the Golden City, in the very center of the city. It was soon replaced, however, by the First Golden City Palace, and was forced into exile near the northwest corner of the city. At some point in its existence, a rear addition was made, with very deep, defined alcoves. This addition had a ring of columns, and, like the palace interiors, was never finished. The building remained 95 percent hollow the entire time.
